hi the journey is about 3 hours minimum, depending on the speed you want to cruise through. It's one of a kind so I suggest taking your time. In some points during the adventure you will get wet, depending on the season sometimes the water goes up to just above your belly button. the water is cool, and bearable as you're walking through the cave you get quiet hot. The best time to go is in the morning - but during rainy season it is highly unadvisable to visit as it becomes very dangerous (caves get filled with water in the afternoons). If you get hungry quickly, it's advisable to bring snacks , I suggest a waterproof bag as your belongings will definitely get wet. (so bring along a waterproof camera or phone). they do not recommend wearing hiking shoes as I found out the expensive way!! after purchasing gym shoes I was told the best footwear for this activity is slippers/thongs such as havaianas - because some soles of shoes are highly slippery on the various rock formations. i've been numerous times and it's definitely worth it!! hope this helps :)
