Notre Dame didn't have a strong showing in very many parts of the game when it was upset by Northern Illinois in South Bend. One bright spot however was Joshua Burnham, a defensive lineman who was making plays before leaving the game with an ankle injury.

Purdue football coach Ryan Walters also had a long list of adjectives that did come out of Saturday's 66-7 loss to Notre Dame. Shocked. Disappointed. Embarrassed. Anger. Frustration. Purdue had more emotions than points walking off the field.

After getting upset a week before, Notre Dame made a statement against Purdue in Week 3. The Fighting Irish pounded Purdue 66-7 -- their highest point total and biggest victory margin of the 88-game series. Next, the Irish take on Miami (Ohio), which is 0-2, at home, on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
