Oklahoma has some serious questions to figure out on offense. The No. 15 Sooners were embarrassed 25-15 at home by No. 6 Tennessee in OU’s first SEC game. The Volunteers controlled the game from the start as Oklahoma’s offense was so bad that Jackson Arnold got benched for true freshman Michael Hawkins.

With Saturday’s win, the Vols beat their first top-15 opponent on the road since 2006, and while folks keep wanting this team to be like the 2022 team, this game really showed that the defense is capable of being the backbone of the squad.

Oklahoma averaged a measly 1.1 yards per carry in the loss. There were a few occasions where the Sooners found a bit of running room but failed to do so consistently. Jovantae Barnes led Oklahoma running backs with eight carries, but only turned it into 12 yards. And that includes a 17-yard run to the outside.
