CHICAGO (CBS) -- Hundreds of people gathered on the city's Far South Side on Sunday to honor fallen Chicago police officer Enrique Martinez, who was killed in the line of duty last week while responding to a traffic stop.

Family, community members, and fellow officers gathered at the church and school where fallen Chicago police officer Enrique Martinez grew up for an evening mass in his memory, as the offender charged in his murder appeared in front of a Cook County judge.
