Taking it all the way back to where it began, James didn’t mince his words as he marked the 40th anniversary of his breakout feature – The Terminator – starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as a cyborg assassin.

James Cameron has admitted parts of The Terminator are "pretty cringeworthy". The 70-year-old filmmaker has looked back on his directorial debut to mark its 40th anniversary and while he acknowledges some of the movie — which stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as a cyborg assassin — was done "pretty well" and he has no problem with the dialogue,

James Cameron doesn’t want to hear your complaints about his dialogue. Cameron has directed a number of the highest-grossing movies of all time, including 1997’s Titanic, 2009’s Avatar, and 2022’s Avatar: The Way of Water.

He also spoke about the trolling of his first 'Avatar' film, although it was a hit, "The trolls will have it that nobody gives a shit and they can't remember the characters' names or one damn thing that happened in the movie,

The filmmaker stands by his dialogue, though: "Let me see your three-out-of-the-four-highest-grossing films — then we’ll talk about dialogue effectiveness."
